HAIKU JAPAN

MATSU BASHO,pseudonym of matsu munefusa,b.1644,ueno,japan and
d.november 28,1694,osaka,japan,who started writing haiku as a new wave and style of japanese poetry ,in 1679.this was within a thousand years after zartosht gatha,which then comes to persian dobeiti and robai of rudaki,khayam,rumi and others.they all could be considered as predecessors of haiku ,in forms and contins.
BASHO is PLANTAIN TREE  in japanese ,or BARHANG, that the poet used to sit underneath and built his cottage their,also a reminiscent of WILLOW TREE of persian poets.
